What the future will bring:

Stephen's Backpacks Society has hopes to continually expand our services. In 2008 we expect to create more backpacks than in years previous. We also plan to launch Footprints 2008 in order to get decent foot ware on as many school-aged children as possible. What else is coming? We are limited only by what we can come up with - or perhaps what YOU can come up with!

In January of 2008, Stephen’s Backpacks Society was officially formed. Our overall goal is to continue the good work that was begun during the Christmas season of 2006. We recognize and expect that in order to remain effective, we will need to continually strive to find creative ways to reach out to our communities. When Stephen McPhee spoke of a dream to help children in need, we recognized that this was not just a dream, but a vision of how things could be. We now consider ourselves charged with the task of casting that vision before us and our communities so that we can bring hope and support to those in need in our community. Our inspiration? The simple fact that if a six year old can envision a way to have an impact on his community, so can anyone else.

Every year we have received more donations and increased our fundraising events and this has allowed us to investigate new recipients in new areas . We personally deliver the shoes and backpacks we give out to all children.
