Whether you are interested in volunteering, gathering stuff, packing stuff or delivering stuff…know that our many volunteers and donors are the bedrock of Stephen’s Backpacks and no matter what you choose to do …you are helping to deliver Hope to children in need!

At Stephen’s Backpacks we have volunteer opportunities and need stuff all year round however we do focus on certain projects at specific times of the year.  Find us and Like US on Facebook to keep up with what is Happening Now.

Footprints

Footprints- “back to school” running shoes for children.

ACTIVE – Gathering new running shoes from June 1 until August 15.

  • July 1st Canada day parade walkers and Super Store
  • Barbeque helpers!
  • Preparing, sorting and packaging runners August 3rd week.

Stephen`s Backpacks

Stephen’s Backpacks – Christmas backpack gifts for children.

ACTIVE – Gathering Backpacks and supplies from Sept. to Dec.

  • Last week of Nov. is Volunteer Orientation and the warehouse is opened Dec. 1st until Dec. 15th for volunteers to make backpacks.  Dec. 15thvolunteer finale!!
  • Dec. 24th Christmas Eve we load the bus with full backpacks and volunteers and deliver them to the shelters!

Project Hope

Project Hope - From shelter to a home makeover.

ACTIVE – We gather new furniture and “all things home” all year long. We repair and move furniture as needed.  We do makeovers as supplies and volunteers will allow.  Follow us on Facebook and sign up on Email to be notified of the specific times when you can get involved
